Installing and registering on the app

Download KBL Mobile Plus from the official app store on your phone. Open the app and select the option to register, then enter the customer identifier or the account number that you hold with Karnataka Bank. Authenticate with your debit card and personal identification number, set a strong app login password, and verify your registered mobile number through a one-time password. Once registration is complete, you can log in to the app any time using the password or biometric option that you set.

Linking your credit card

If the credit card is not visible on the dashboard after the first login, open the cards section and select the option to add a credit card. Enter the credit card number and confirm with a one-time password sent to the registered mobile. The link is created within seconds, after which the credit card outstanding, the available credit, and the due date are shown directly on the home screen of the app.

Viewing the latest statement

Tap on the credit card tile to open the card detail screen. From there, choose the statement option to view the latest statement of the card. The screen lists the statement date, the due date, the total amount due, the minimum amount due, and a transaction history. Older statements can also be viewed under the same screen, which is useful for reconciliation or for downloading proof of past payments.

Paying the credit card bill

Return to the card detail screen and tap the pay bill option. Choose the savings or current account from which the funds should be deducted. Enter the amount you want to pay, which can match the total amount due, the minimum amount due, or any custom value above the minimum. Confirm the payment summary, complete the one-time password or biometric authentication, and submit. The savings account is debited and the credit card balance is updated within minutes for most cases.

Saving payment receipts and tracking history

After every successful payment, the app displays a receipt screen with the transaction reference number, the date, the time, and the amount. The receipt can be saved as an image or shared through your messaging apps. The history of all credit card bill payments is accessible from the same card detail screen, so you do not need to keep separate manual records.

Setting up reminders and standing instructions

Within the app, you can configure reminder alerts a few days before the due date and, if you prefer a hands-off approach, set up a standing instruction to debit the total amount due or the minimum amount due automatically each cycle. The standing instruction can be paused or cancelled at any time, which gives you control without compromising on convenience.

Common issues and how to handle them

If the app does not load the latest statement, refresh the screen or log out and log back in. If the payment fails after the savings account is debited, the system normally reverses the debit within one working day. If the reversal does not happen, raise a complaint inside the app under the help section, providing the transaction reference number.
