How to Pay IndusInd Credit Card Bill via Net Banking
IndusInd Bank offers a comprehensive net banking portal that allows customers to manage both their savings accounts and credit card accounts from a single login. For IndusInd credit card holders who also maintain a savings or current account with IndusInd Bank, the net banking portal provides the most direct payment route — a same-bank internal transfer that is typically faster to reflect than UPI or third-party BBPS-based payments. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough of the complete payment process through the IndusInd Bank net banking portal.
Before you begin: what you need
To pay your IndusInd credit card bill via net banking, you need an active IndusInd Bank net banking account. If you have not registered for net banking, visit the IndusInd Bank website and complete the net banking registration process using your Customer ID, registered mobile number, and debit card details. Once registered, you will have a User ID and a password for net banking access.
If your IndusInd credit card was issued under a different customer profile from your savings account — which can happen if the card was applied through a separate channel — both accounts should ideally be linked under a single customer ID for seamless net banking access. Contact IndusInd Bank customer care if your card does not appear in your net banking dashboard.
For IndusInd credit card holders whose savings account is with a different bank, the IndusInd net banking portal may still allow payment through NEFT or by adding your credit card as a beneficiary, though the process will differ from the same-bank payment flow described primarily in this guide.
Step one: logging into IndusInd Bank net banking
Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the official IndusInd Bank website. Locate the net banking login button — typically displayed prominently on the homepage. Click on it to open the login interface.
Enter your registered User ID or Customer ID and your net banking password. Complete any captcha verification if prompted. Submit the login form. IndusInd Bank may send an OTP to your registered mobile number as an additional authentication step, particularly if you are logging in from a new device or browser. Enter the OTP when prompted to complete the login.
Once authenticated, you are on the net banking dashboard, which displays your linked accounts — savings accounts, fixed deposits, and credit cards — along with their balances and key details.
Step two: navigating to the credit card section
From the net banking dashboard, look for the Credit Cards section in the navigation menu. This is typically found in the top navigation bar or the left-hand sidebar, depending on the portal's layout. Click on Credit Cards to expand the credit card services menu.
You will see your linked IndusInd credit card listed with its last four digits, credit limit, available limit, and current outstanding balance. Select your credit card by clicking on it to open the card's detail page.
The card detail page shows your current outstanding balance — which represents everything owed including purchases, any carried-over interest, and charges from the current billing cycle — your minimum amount due, your payment due date, and your recent transaction history.
Step three: initiating the payment
Within the credit card detail page, look for the Pay Bill, Make Payment, or Credit Card Payment button. Click on it to open the payment interface.
The payment interface displays your current outstanding balance and typically offers multiple payment amount options: the total amount due, the minimum amount due, the last statement balance, and a custom amount field where you can enter any specific sum. For the most financially sound outcome — avoiding interest charges and preserving your interest-free grace period — always select the total amount due.
If you wish to pay a custom amount — for instance, if you are splitting the payment across two payments within the same cycle — enter the specific amount in the custom field. Note that any amount less than the total amount due will result in a balance being carried forward and interest being charged on that remaining amount.
Step four: selecting the source account
After selecting the payment amount, you will be prompted to choose the source account from which the payment will be debited. Your linked IndusInd savings and current accounts will be listed with their account numbers and available balances. Select the account with sufficient balance to cover the payment amount.
If you do not have sufficient balance in your IndusInd savings account, the payment will fail at the execution stage. Ensure the selected account has adequate funds before proceeding.
Step five: reviewing and confirming the payment
A payment summary screen appears before the final confirmation. This screen shows the credit card number — typically the last four digits — the payment amount, the source savings account, and the payment date. Review all details carefully to confirm accuracy. Verify in particular that the payment amount matches your intended payment and that the correct source account is selected.
Click Confirm or Submit to proceed. IndusInd Bank net banking will typically require a second authentication step at this point — an OTP sent to your registered mobile number or a transaction password — to authorise the payment. Enter the OTP or transaction password and submit.
Upon successful processing, a payment confirmation screen is displayed showing the transaction reference number, the payment amount, the source account, the credit card credited, and the date and time of the transaction. This reference number is your proof of payment — screenshot this screen or note the reference number in a secure location.
A payment confirmation SMS is also sent to your registered mobile number at this stage.
How long does the payment take to reflect?
For same-bank payments made from an IndusInd savings account to an IndusInd credit card through the net banking portal, the payment typically reflects on the credit card account within a few hours — and in many cases within minutes — because the transfer is an internal accounting entry within the same institution's systems. No inter-bank clearing is required.
If the credit card and savings account are under different customer profiles or bank systems, the reflection time may extend to one working day. If the payment has not reflected within one working day, contact IndusInd Bank credit card customer care with the transaction reference number for assistance.
Auto-pay setup through IndusInd Bank net banking
IndusInd Bank's net banking portal also allows customers to set up a standing instruction — auto-pay — for their credit card bill. Navigate to the credit card section, find the auto-pay or standing instruction option, and link your IndusInd savings account as the debit account. You can choose to auto-debit the total amount due, the minimum amount due, or a fixed custom amount each month on or before the due date.
Setting auto-pay to the total amount due is the most effective protection against missed payments, as it ensures the full outstanding balance is cleared automatically without manual intervention each month.
Paying IndusInd credit card bill via net banking from a different bank
For IndusInd credit card holders whose primary savings account is with another bank, the alternative is to add the IndusInd credit card as a beneficiary in the other bank's net banking portal using the NEFT beneficiary details provided by IndusInd Bank. The NEFT IFSC code and account number structure for IndusInd credit card payments are available on the IndusInd Bank official website or from customer care. Once added as a beneficiary, NEFT transfers can be initiated from the other bank's net banking, with reflection typically occurring within one to two working days.
For faster cross-bank payment, UPI through any major payment app linked to the other bank's savings account is the simplest alternative, with payments typically reflecting within one to two working days.
Viewing payment history in IndusInd net banking
All payments made through the IndusInd net banking portal are recorded in the transaction history section of the credit card account. Navigate to the credit card section, select your card, and view the transaction history or statement to see all past payments with their reference numbers, amounts, and dates. This history is useful for reconciliation and for retrieving proof of payment if needed.
