How to Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card Bill via iMobile Pay
iMobile Pay is the official mobile banking app of ICICI Bank, and it offers one of the most comprehensive credit card management experiences among Indian banks. ICICI Bank cardholders can use the app to view balances, manage cards, pay bills, and automate payments, all in one place. The credit card section is built around a single tap pay option, but it also offers fine-grained control for users who want it.
Setting up the app
Download iMobile Pay from the official app store. Open the app and follow the registration flow, which uses your ICICI Bank account or your debit card to validate identity. Set a strong app login password and verify the registered mobile number with a one-time password. After login, the home screen shows tiles for accounts, deposits, loans, and cards.
Linking your credit card
If the credit card does not appear on the home screen after first login, open the cards section and choose to add a credit card. Enter the sixteen-digit credit card number and confirm with a one-time password sent to the registered mobile number. Once linked, the card tile shows the available credit limit, the current outstanding, and the due date at a glance.
Viewing the latest statement
Tap the credit card tile to open its detail screen. The statement section shows the statement date, the due date, the total amount due, the minimum amount due, and a list of transactions for the cycle. You can also pull statements for previous cycles, download them as a PDF for tax or expense reporting, and dispute any transaction directly from the same screen.
Paying the credit card bill
From the credit card detail screen, tap the pay bill option. Choose the savings or current account from which the funds should be deducted. Enter the amount you want to pay, which can match the total amount due, the minimum amount due, or any custom value above the minimum. Confirm the payment summary, complete the one-time password or biometric authentication, and submit. The savings account is debited immediately, and the credit card balance is updated within minutes for most cases.
Quick payment without a deep link
The app also offers a quick pay tile on the home screen for users who prefer minimum taps. Choose this tile, select the credit card, and enter the amount. The flow uses the default funding account that you set during registration. This is helpful when you want to settle the bill in just a few seconds without entering the credit card detail screen each time.
Setting up auto debit
Within the credit card detail screen, you can configure auto debit for the total amount due or for the minimum amount due. The auto debit instruction pulls funds from the linked ICICI Bank account on each due date and pays the credit card bill automatically. This protects you against accidental delays during a busy month. The instruction can be modified or cancelled at any time inside the app.
Tracking and downloading receipts
Every successful payment generates a receipt with a transaction reference number, a date and time, the amount, and the funding account. The receipt is stored in the transaction history of the app and can be shared as an image or saved as a PDF. The receipt is also sent to your registered email address. The available credit limit on the card rises in line with the payment, providing a quick visual confirmation.
Notifications and reminders
The app sends notifications when a new statement is generated, a few days before the due date, and after every successful payment. Keep these notifications enabled, since they reduce the chance of missing a cycle. If you prefer fewer alerts, you can fine-tune notification preferences inside the settings section.
What to do if the payment does not reflect
If your savings account is debited but the credit card balance does not reduce after one working day, raise a service request from inside the app using the transaction reference number, the date and time, the amount, and the credit card last four digits. The bank reconciles the payment and posts the credit or reverses the debit. While the issue is being investigated, you can also pay your credit card bill on Stashfin to avoid late fees.
