How to Pay Bank of Maharashtra Credit Card Bill via Online Biller
Bank of Maharashtra credit cards can be paid in several ways, but adding the card as a biller in your existing banking or payments app is by far the most convenient option for regular users. Once the biller is added, the credit card statement details are fetched automatically each month and a single tap is enough to settle the bill. This is especially helpful when your salary or savings account is with a different bank.
What an online biller is
An online biller is a registered service provider on the Bharat BillPay system or on a bank's own bill payment platform. Credit card issuers, including Bank of Maharashtra, register their card products as billers so that their cardholders can be billed and paid through any participating app or net banking portal. The advantage is that you do not have to log into the issuer's own website each month, and you can pay from any account, not just one held with Bank of Maharashtra.
Information you need before you start
Keep the sixteen-digit Bank of Maharashtra credit card number ready, along with the registered mobile number and email on the card account. The latest statement is also useful, as it confirms the total amount due, the minimum amount due, and the due date. If your app asks for a nickname for the biller, choose something that is easy to identify later, such as BoM Credit Card.
Steps to add Bank of Maharashtra as a biller
Open the bill payment section of your preferred banking app, UPI app, or net banking portal. Select the category for credit card bill payment. Search for Bank of Maharashtra or its abbreviation in the biller list and select the credit card biller. Enter your sixteen-digit card number and the name as it appears on the card. Confirm the details and save the biller. The app then verifies the card number with the issuer and links it to your profile, after which the outstanding will appear automatically each cycle.
Paying the bill once the biller is added
When the bill is generated, the app shows the total amount due and the due date. You can choose to pay the total amount, the minimum amount, or any other amount above the minimum. Select your funding source, which can be a savings account through net banking, a debit card, or a UPI handle linked to any bank. Confirm the payment with your second factor, such as a one-time password or UPI personal identification number, and the funds are transferred to the credit card account on the same day for most payment modes.
Auto debit and reminders
Most biller flows allow you to enable auto debit, where the total amount due is debited from your selected account on the due date. If you prefer to remain in control, leave auto debit off and instead enable monthly reminders, which the app sends a few days before the due date. Either approach prevents late payment fees and protects your credit score.
What to do if the bill does not appear
If the biller is added correctly but the outstanding does not show up after a statement cycle, it usually means that the card details have not yet synced with the biller system. Wait for one full cycle, then refresh the biller. If the issue persists, remove and re-add the biller using the exact name on the card. Confirm with Bank of Maharashtra that the card is active and that the registered number on file matches the one you used while adding the biller.
Why this method is convenient
Using the biller flow means that you can pay your Bank of Maharashtra credit card bill from any bank account, in any app, in less than a minute. There is no need to log into the issuer portal, no need to remember a separate password, and no need to manually enter the amount each month. You can also pay your credit card bill through Stashfin in a single tap once the card is added.
Credit card payment services are subject to applicable terms and conditions. Stashfin is an RBI-registered NBFC. Please read all terms carefully before use.
